YOUR DAY, AT A GLANCE

A little planning. A great day out.

  1. Arrive & head into Dubuque

Arrange a rental or both taxi journeys with Dubuque Jet Center. Check the River Museum’s alternate directions for railroad-crossing delays.

  2. Choose an early or later lunch

Start at Caroline’s for weekday lunch before 1:30 pm or weekend brunch before 1 pm. Use 7 Hills for a later lunch.

  3. Discover the Mississippi

Allow 2–3 hours for the River Museum & Aquarium. This is the indoor anchor of the day.

  4. Finish with a view, in season
